Passion for fashion!

I recently received an email from MoneySupermarket informing me about their ‘Passion for fashion’ competition, which you can enter here.

Below I have created five different outfits for this Autumn/Winter. Each outfit should be under £200 and should include shoes and accessories!

There will be 6 winners, 1 from each category. 5 winning £200 to buy the outfit they created and 1 overall winner who will get £1000 to spend on all the outfits as well as an iPad – yes please!

Here are my outfits I put together for £200 or less (and some shops I could even get student discount being at uni making some of the outfits 10% cheaper! – or 15-25% when there are special offers on!)

This outfit is something I would wear shopping, to university or when I’m having a chilled out day. I love Topshop Leigh jeans, they are so soft and feel just like leggings so perfect for a casual outfit! The earrings match the shirt, as skulls are set to be big this A/W and I’ve got my eye on this shirt! It’s perfect for the winter weather being long sleeved. With the outfit I have paired an umbrella, which is quite pricey for an umbrella seeing as I’m used to Primark prices with umbrellas, but it matches the monochrome colours of the outfit perfectly!

Total = £128.99

Shirt – £23 – Romwe

Jeans – £38 – Topshop

Shoes – £39 – Converse

Ring – £6 – Topshop

Earrings – £2.99 – Blue Banana

Umbrella – £20 – River Island

I can’t believe how much these boots look like the JC Studded litas but £100 less! This is a brilliant bargain meaning I could ‘spend’ more money on the dress. (I wish I doing the 100 day challenge because I want to buy these shoes :'( )

I love Jones + Jones dresses so much, I own 3 so far and have been lusting over this one for a while now. It is the perfect party dress and I think red is a brilliant winter colour – maybe because it reminds me of Christmas!?

Living in Britain you HAVE to be prepared so why not squeeze this umbrella in the clutch bag, you don’t want to ruin your perfectly styled hair before you reach the party do you?

Total = £128.99

Dress – £60 – Jones + Jones

Umbrella – £14 – Debenhams

Boots – £39.99 – Daisy street

Clutch – £15 – Jane Norman

First Date

It depends what you are doing on the first date, so I’ve made an outfit which I think is perfect for a dinner date.

I’m loving the peplum trend this A/W so this top is perfect and it even has studded shoulders – studded items are so in style right now! Although it covers up the studded detailing on the shoulders, the faux leather jacket will come in handy for the cold and rainy weather and it’s a steal at £30!

The skirt is extremely cheap as well as figure hugging to flaunt your stuff to make a good impression on the first date! Just don’t topple over in these heeless shoes! (Just like the Jeffrey Campbell shoes but so much cheaper!!)

Total = £151.99

Peplum top – £22 – Boohoo.com

Skirt – £12 – Debenhams

Heels – £50 – Boohoo.com

Bag – £31 – Zara

Bracelet – £6.99 – AX Paris

Jacket – £30 – H&M

Wearing the studded collar shirt underneath will brighten up the plain dress but also act as an extra layer on cold days! The heel isn’t too high on these AX Paris shoes so are suitable to walk around in all day and maybe walk through a little rain (or snow!?) on the way to work in the winter. But if the weather is a bit dull, this Republic pac a mac can fit easily in this spacious bag. The outfit shows you can be smart as well as stylish and stay on trend!

Total = £173

Dress – £22 – Boohoo.com

Shirt – £42 – Topshop

Shoes – £27 – AX Paris

Bag – £47 – Topshop

Pac a mac – £35 – Republic

This outfit is perfect for any outdoor activity, even though it may be the most expensive outfit I put together!

Creepers are the IT shoes right now and a personal favourite. They are so comfortable and so very British, originally worn by soldiers in London’s Soho! Brothel Creepers by Underground may seem expensive at £90 but they are sturdy shoes and can withstand the British weather, come rain or shine, or snow!

For a camo jacket this isn’t a bad price considering those available in Zara & Topshop which are £50+. The military trend is so big right and can be seen on so many fashion blogs and many high street stores. It’s also perfect for an outdoor outfit!

The black dress and grey hat may be dull wintery colours but don’t clash with the bag and camo jacket. When I chose the jacket, I knew I would pair it with a dark coloured dress so the outfit isn’t too OTT.

I love this bag as it has studs and skull print on it – two of my favourite things! It’s quite spacious too which means with the left over £1 from this outfit you can buy an umbrella in Poundland in case it does rain! 😉

Total = £199

Dress – £36 – Monki

Camo Jacket – £32 – ASOS

Creepers – £90 – Office

Bag – £31 – Boohoo.com

Hat – £10 – River Island
