NYC’s Dante Comes to Madison Rooftop Bar
I spent Friday evening at one of London’s top bars – Madison – to check out the Dante NYC pop-up.
Renowned for it’s amazing views across the city and first class cocktails, Madison in St Paul’s is one of London’s top bars. Which only makes sense that New York’s Dante – voted one of the world’s best bars – has a pop up at the rooftop bar until 4 October.
The talented bar team from Dante will be hosting Aperitivo Hour between 4-9pm from 29 Sept – 4 October. They have created a drinks menu featuring some of their greatest hits including the Garibaldi and the Italian Sour, as well as cocktails from their very popular Negroni Sessions such as the Chocolate Negroni. In addition, they have created two brand new cocktails inspired by Madison’s rooftop scene – Endless Summer and Rooftop Life.
Bringing a taste of New York to London we sipped on cocktails including Endless Summer. This is a fruity mix of Kamm & Sons, Hendricks, Peach liqueur, Lemon juice, Cucumber bitters and Star anise – the perfect cocktail as we transition into autumn with inspirations of both seasons in the ingredients.
The pop-up will lead into the World’s 50 Best Bars awards which is taking place in London on 5 October. Dante is currently listed at number 34 in the awards.
Aperitivo hour is on from 4pm until 9pm until 4 October 2017. Visit on 4 October when guests will be treated to live music by the Angela Quartet from 6pm onwards.
The pop-up is also serving a ‘Unlikely Negroni’ cocktail which is a concoction of Blanco tequila, Campari, Cocchi Torino, Kalani coco liqueur and Banana liqueur, Pok Pok pineapple and a dash of saline solution – which enhances the flavours of cocktails!
Madison boasts stunning views across the capital with a direct view onto St Paul’s, making it the perfect place for photo opportunities!
