New Opening: The Italian Job, Notting Hill
A taste of Italy in the heart of Notting Hill at newly launched The Italian Job.
The Italian Job is the UK’s first Italian craft beer pub and they have just opened their latest venue in Notting Hill. This stylish venue serves an impressive selection of cocktails, seasonal food menu & of course, Italian craft beers and fabulous Italian wines.
We tested out the incredible cocktail menu and sampled the 1910 cocktail (pictured left). A smooth Tanquery gin cocktail with a flavoursome lemon kick, We also tried the Massaua Asmara which is mixed with oriental spiced gin Ophir. This cocktail really packed a punch plus it was very aesthetically pleasing and very photogenic…if cocktails can be photogenic that is.
I was really impressed by the selection of high quality cocktails The Italian Job was serving. It’s often difficult to find good cocktails in pubs but these were some of the best gin cocktails I’ve tried.
We can enjoyed the cocktail menu – curated by drinks maestro Luca Corradini – upstairs in bar Salotto ‘900. A hidden gem of an area which isn’t available at The Italian Job’s sister branches!
We were pretty impressed by this ice cube on the bar in Salotto ‘900.
After our cocktails we ventured downstairs to the pub area which serves a more traditional selection of Italian craft beers from the Birrificio del Ducato microbrewery, The Italian Job’s house brewery.
There’s also an amazing Italian wine list, which we couldn’t leave without trying.
We were also able to try out a few of the dishes on offer at The Italian Job. The food is based on Italian street food and regional specialities. The food and craft beer menus will be changing weekly keeping the selection continuously fresh.
You can feast on tasty Italian treats including Destoned olives filled with beef and pork mince, bread-crumbed and fried; Reginelle (deep fried pizza dough with tomato sauce, parmesan flakes and basil); and Buffalo mozzarella & parma ham.
The Italian Job Group is the brainchild of Giovanni Campari and Giuseppe Verdoni, whose aim is to bring the genius behind the master craftsmen of Italian food, beer and cocktails to the streets of London, ensuring the capital can experience a slice of traditional Italy right on their doorstep.
