London Events You Can’t Miss Out On
Now the January blues have officially ended and spring is on the horizon it’s time to start enjoying ourselves. Here’s London’s top events which you can’t miss out on.
Rock The Strand
The Strand Palace hotel has launched a new free monthly music night ‘Rock the Strand’ to showcase a range of talented and upcoming artists.
The event begins at 8pm on 23 February 2017 and will take place on the 4th Thursday of every month in the hotel’s newly refurbished Lounge Bar. The show is curated by Tony Moore who started as an original member of Iron Maiden and then went on to play keyboards in Cutting Crew in the 80s.
Go to a Sex Ed Class
Need to brush on your knowledge? Wasn’t quite up to scratch on Valentine’s? The Book Club in Shoreditch has launched a new cultural event series to teach you everything that Sex Ed didn’t.
The first class is on Tuesday 21 February at 7.15pm on ‘Kissing, Cuddling and Pegging’ and priced at £7. Book here.
Friarwood Fine Wines is celebrating 50 years of trading with a free wine tasting at Chelsea Old Town Hall. There will be wines available from over 25 producers from all over the world. Free tickets can be booked in advance on EventBrite.

…without leaving London! From 5 March until 11 March Live At Zédel, Soho’s unique live entertainment concept, will put on FrenchFest. This is a week-long of French talent and entertainment – from song, comedy cabaret and Renaissance opera.
A Meat Themed DJ Night
Yes, really! Duo ‘Meatz and Beatz’ is hosting a brand new carnival-carnivore night – ‘The Roasting Rhumba at Fu Manchu in Clapham. Londoners are guaranteed a night of disco, Latino and soul. Special DJ acts appearing include ‘carnivorous cartel’ of DJ Pablo Eskebab, DJ Smoked S’Hammonds, Paella Deville, John ‘The Veggie’ Plant and special guest, Meat Tong.
Beyonce’s Baby Shower
Ok so not Beyonce’s actual baby shower, but the closest you’ll get…
The Book Club in Shoreditch is organising a Beyonce style baby shower event priced at £3 for entry on 5 March from 4pm. There will be themed cocktails, dancing, traditional baby games (with a Beyoncé twist of course), and a Beyonce style photo opportunity. You can buy tickets online.
Write Poetry = Free Coffee
Vienna-based coffee roaster Julius Meinl is encouraging customers to visit locations which serve their coffee on World Poetry Day (21 March 2017). If you write a poem then you can use this as payment for a tea or coffee!
